10 Years Wittgenstein Prize - 1996 - 2006 Gala
The Wittgenstein Prize, Austria's premium award for scientists, celebrated its 10th anniversary. The Austrian Science Foundation together with the Wittgenstein Award Laureate's Club celebrated this event at the Vienna University's historical assembly hall ”Alte Aula” on Thursday, 21. September 2006, through a large exhibition:.
It was the intention of the ”EXPERIENCE SCIENCE” exhibition with booths of the 19 Wittgenstein Award Laureates and the accompanying ”science dialogue” programme, to convey to visitors an understanding and an introduction to the work of these top scientists; people who are not involved in science in their everyday lives should become aware of the prominence and relevance of science.
